I Used To Play Piano

As a kid I did not like playing the piano. Every week I prayed that my piano instructor would not show up. Half the time he didn’t! Looking back, I should have stuck to it. From time to time I dream about playing again. I played for a little bit in college and that was nice.

Fast forward to 2011. Since the beginning of the year, I have thought about buying a piano. I finally did it this weekend! The guys at Portland Music Company hooked me up with the bestselling Yamaha P95. Interestingly enough, they recommended this book called “I Used to Play Piano”. It did not take long for me to get the hang of it but I decided to go through the lessons anyway.

Here is lesson number one “Trumpet Tune”. Wow I was slow but I am hoping to improve with more practice. This video may not be worth posting but I had fun doing it and I’d like to see if I am getting better!

I took for like 8 years and can’t read a lick of music now. Miss random playing though….. Good for you for starting again!

      Slammie,

I wasn’t sure I can get into it again but I love my new piano! I think you’ll be surprised how fast you can catch on.
