Saturday’s dinner was at the Screen Door Restaurant, a local favorite. I’ve traveled (for business) enough to the South to appreciate this type of food. Their renditions of the classics were pleasing to the palate, a fine upgrade from the greasy plates I’ve had from Georgia to Alabama. It is not exactly my kind of food but the quality was satisfying, the fried chicken was tasty, and the portions were generous.
